This weekend we got to spend some time on my uncle's farm up near South Bend. Annabel rode a horse for the first time and LOVED it! She kept asking "more, please!" My uncle Paul was exhausted by the time Annabel was done riding! :) I was so proud of her, because I didn't expect her to like it! (She's not exactly what you would call a dare-devil:)
She did not, however, enjoy petting the horses!
We even trotted a little, which she LOVED! She was yelling, "vroom, vroom!"
My beautiful cousin Emma
Annabel was even excited to be on the horse all alone!
For the past couple weeks I've been working on my first-ever quilt. It's not quite done, but here's a sneak peek:

ooooh!!! I love your fabric choices! So pretty! Hey, that white sashing always messes things up. I run into the same trouble everytime I do a quilt like that too. I say, do your best to line them up and chalk the rest up to "HANDMADE", baby!
i made my first (and so far, only) quilt for my nephew who was born 3 years ago. it was just a block quilt, but even in my perfection i could not get all the squares cut the same so it had a few flaws where they didn't meet up properly. i was pregnant at the time, which only made the project more stressful, haha! i almost gave up 5 times, but it was cute in the end in spite of the "bad" spots. yours looks like it'll be super cute!
Oh, I love horseback riding! The quilt colors are beautiful! You have done a great job. Have you thought about staggering the squares like tiles?
