Garden, Year II

Derek has been working on his garden all year. He has been so excited about it for so many months, I can't help but be excited for him when I see the "fruits" of his labor! This year his garden is HUGE. Like, freaking huge. 5000 (7000?) sf huge. He has 105 tomato plants in, as well as several varieties of beans, squash, zucchini, eggplant, corn, cucumber, peas, broccoli, edamame, carrots, potatoes, onions, strawberries, asparagus, lettuce, spinach and I can't even remember what else.  This is the first year for both the strawberries and asparagus, so we'll have to wait a few years for a good crop of those.

The rough draft- back in April, tilled and ready to be planted!

Beautiful rows and planted seedlings

Lettuces and spinach, beans, peas and maybe some broccoli starting to pop up?

Raspberry bushes

Compost bins!

I'm jealous of the raspberry bushes!

your garden reminds me of my grandparents... they had 2 very large ones and one was just green beans... I didn't care for the picking and weeding but snapping was much better...

hard work that lasts all year long...

Wow, that is a HUGE garden! It reminds me of the ones the Amish have. They plant a ton of stuff too.
